ENTRY TWO - SUZIE & TIM


Once upon a time lived a girl called Suzie in grade nine, fed up of school and wanting to get out in the big wide world. One day there was a new boy who arrived at school ........... And school seemed brighter.

It was almost the end of the year so we didn't have much time to get to know each other. It was summer holidays before we knew and we wouldn't see each other for weeks.

As school returned we hit it off like fireworks, spending every day together. The last year of school went so fast, with school footy trips, picnics and balls, we shared all these memories together. We both got jobs and started working straight away, but still kept our relationship together with lots of happy memories. Three years later, on the day before Christmas, Tim asked me to marry him on the beach. Of course I said yes. We had already planned a holiday to Europe so the wedding got set into the future. This year we bought our first house together. We are so happy of what we have achieved all on our own and are as happy as can be. We have FINALLY set a date for next year.

Although we are still young, we plan to pay for our own wedding, so this would help us so much as this story continues to make more happy ever afters.

ENTRY ONE - JAYDEE & DAMIEN


My name is Jaydee & I have been with my partner Damien for 4 years and we have 2 beautiful girls together. I believe we should win your competition because I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for my best friend, partner and future husband.

12 months ago Damien found me having a seizure - I was 8 months pregnant. After an Emergency caesarean, numerous tests, and specialist opinions, it was found that I had a brain infection caused from a severe ear infection. After one week in ICU followed by daily trips to the hospital for new doses of medication to be administrated via PICC lines, I suffered DVT in my arm. Throughout this time Damien had to take a lot of time off work to become the main caregiver for our family.  It was thought I had an infection in the mastoid bone, and needed surgery. After 9 months on the waiting list and numerous trips to hospital, it was found my brain had ruptured into my ear drum. A week away in Royal Hobart hospital, and 3 months on I'm planning the wedding of our dreams. 

The major parts of our wedding are organised, it's the finer details that add up in costs that would make our wedding perfect, and the image we have both envisioned. Winning the competition would be the start of our new lives together, to leave this behind us.

THE COMPETITION OF THE YEAR - WIN A WEDDING RECEPTION STYLING PACKAGE!

To celebrate our rebranding to PWS EVENTS (and a few more changes which will be announced in the coming weeks), we have decided that we would like to give one lucky bride the wedding of her dreams!

One lucky bride will receive a full wedding reception styling package for 80 guests, and will include chair covers, sashes, overlays/tablerunners, centrepieces, bridal table décor, backdrop and setup by the team at PWS EVENTS.
So, how to enter? This is where you need to get creative!

We want to know why YOU should WIN this amazing package? In 200 words or less, we want you to tell us your story, and what your dream wedding is!

We will post each story here on our BLOG, and link it to our Facebook page. And this is where it gets interesting.

We are going to let the public do the voting! Each LIKE will be counted as a vote towards your entry winning. HOWEVER, the person with the most votes wont necessarily win. Your entry will also be judged on creative merit, by an independent judge (not associated or part of the team at PWS EVENTS).

The three entries with the highest amount of votes will go before the independent judge and the WINNER will be announced from there.

You can share your published story with your friends as many times as you wish. BUT, for a vote (LIKE) to be counted, they must be a fan of our page!

The competition will run from today (24th June 2013) until 29th July 2013.


This is an amazing package, and an amazing opportunity for one lucky bride and her groom-to-be! But you need to be in it to WIN it!

Welcome to the new and improved Personalised Wedding Stationery......

INTRODUCING:

It finally happened!

Some of you will remember Jade, the wonderful lady who started the journey that is Personalised Wedding Stationery. When I met Jade, it was for the purpose of her decorating my own wedding. It was such fun to work with her, having my dreams turned in to a reality, and working with her on concepts that were important to all the members of our family.
Fast forward nearly 3 years, and you will find that little family owned and operated business still operating in a harsh economy, but now with a fresh outlook and a name that doesn't lead to confusion.
Confusion? We have often found that couples planning their wedding were getting misled by the "stationery" part in our name. After much discussion, we decided that this year was the year for change. Those discussions saw the birth of PWS EVENTS.

So what can you expect from PWS EVENTS?

This year is all about changing our focus to the things that matter. We will no longer be supplying bridal accessories and jewellery. We will no longer be supplying bonbonniere boxes and bags. We are redirecting our focus to YOU, the client.
PWS EVENTS will be providing Wedding Planning & Event Management services. We will still be providing exceptional décor options for your ceremony and reception, such as chair covers, centrepieces and backdrops. We will be producing a new range of Premium invitations, which can be ordered direct from our new website. And we will still continue to produce our gorgeous range of handmade garters and hangers.

There is another piece of exciting news to come, but you'll have to wait a little longer for that one. :-)

We hope you LOVE our new look as much as we do, and we look forward to providing a comprehensive and fulfilling level of service to our clients who are planning their special day.

AND THE WINNER IS.......

We at Personalised Wedding Stationery are absolutely amazed at the response we had to our "WIN your wedding decor for Half the Price" competition.

Pretty much from the start we had people flooding our Facebook page with votes for entrants.


AND its never been so close. In fact, it came down to just 4 votes....!

Firstly, before announcing the winner, we want to say how thankful we are to all the entrants for referring so many people to our page. We started the page with a little over 1000 fans, and our target of 1200, and then 1600, was completely smashed with our page now sitting on just over 2040 fans!

So thank you to you all!

Spring signals the opening of Wedding Season

Spring is undoubtedly the most prettiest season, and even more so in Tasmania. With it, comes the official opening of wedding season. 
For us at Personalised Wedding Stationery, it is the most exciting time of the year, as we prepare for our upcoming weddings.


This season, we are introducing a whole new range of invitation and stationery styles, concentrating on vintage lace and textured papers, and elegant colour schemes. With so many options and fun things to play with, we find it hard not to get caught up in this aspect of our business.


But alas, we have so much more to tell you!


The new season also signals the introduction of a whole new range of decor products for you to hire for your wedding or special event. Visions of crystal candelabras, garlands and crystal drops cascading from floral arrangements in tall vases... Plus we have crystal trees and branches with glass hanging tea light holders, or fairy lights to light up your reception and create that "wow" factor. We have brought in the increasing popular Shepherd Hooks to decorate your ceremony, and can supply your Tissue Pom Poms and Flower buckets to hang from these.


And then there is Linen. Personalised Wedding Stationery will also now be carrying all linen, from chair covers to tablecloths and bridal skirts in Ivory. So far this season, there is an increase in brides that have chosen Ivory for the wedding gown, and with this, there is a demand for Ivory linen as opposed to white, to avoid the "dirty dress" look at her reception. Our Ivory linen is warm and inviting, and mixes beautifully with hues of chocolate and dusky rose.


As Tassie's Lolly Buffet specialist, we can design a buffet that co-ordinates with your colour scheme and fits within your budget. They are an increasingly popular alternative to your traditional bomboniere, and add another fun element to your day. Your guests will ALWAYS remember a well designed and co-ordinated lolly buffet. Our new range of candy jars will be arriving next month, and we are so excited!
